Rick owned & operated his own insurance agency for 14 years prior to joining Mang Hathaway in 2006.
He holds the Charter Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Associate in Underwriting (AU) & Associate in Personal Insurance (API) designations. He is licensed in Property & Casualty in NYS and several other states and is licensed for Life and Accident & Health. He is a past President of the Independent Insurance Agents of the Capital Region, Northeastern NY Chapter of CPCU and former State Director for the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of NY. Rick is currently President of the Albany Field Club, Vice President of the Insurance Professionals of Albany, a member of the Board of Directors for the Capital district Insurance Community, a member of the Albany I-Day committee, webmaster for the national Agents & Brokers Interest Group of CPCU and will soon be joining the national Board of Governors of the CPCU Society.
